Andy Howard's passion for finance began early, witnessing his father's success in the insurance industry. Driven by a desire to put client needs first and offer a wider range of options, Andy transitioned to independent advising. This shift ignited a focus on building deep, trusting relationships with individual clients, allowing him to truly understand their unique goals and aspirations.

 

With over 40 years of experience, Andy’s core belief remains unwavering: putting the client’s interest at the forefront of every decision. While financial expertise is crucial, Andy believes the human element is equally important. He enjoys getting to know his clients, their stories, and their dreams, fostering genuine connections that go beyond numbers on a spreadsheet.

 

Outside of the office, Andy enjoys the diverse seasons and natural beauty of his home state. An avid outdoorsman, he finds solace and inspiration in fishing, hunting, and exploring the state's waterways.

Sam's journey in finance began at USA Financial, where he built experience in crafting retirement income plans and supporting other advisors. Driven by a desire to connect directly with clients, he transitioned to Premier Financial. Sam and Andy spent extensive time evaluating their shared values to confirm a comfortable cultural fit.

 

Now, Sam thrives on creating personalized retirement plans for each client, prioritizing clear communication and building strong relationships. He values the collaborative environment at Premier Financial and their unique partnership with USA Financial, which provides extensive resources and a "boutique" feel despite their larger size. When he's not immersed in financial planning, Sam enjoys outdoor activities and maintains a competitive spirit.

Jennifer Brown | Director of Operations

Jennifer Brown | Director of Operations

Jennifer Brown has been a pillar of Premier Financial for 20 years, earning the respect and trust of both colleagues and clients. Her background in car insurance instilled a strong foundation in customer service, which translates seamlessly to her current role as Director of Operations. Jennifer thrives on untangling complex client issues, drawing on her experience to navigate through investment rules and regulations for Premier’s clients. Her experience and research capability allows her to assist advisors to make informed decisions and reduce wait times for an enhanced client experience.

 

Jennifer's down-to-earth personality and charm contributes to her strong rapport with clients. She goes above and beyond to ensure their needs are met, fostering a sense of trust and loyalty. 

 

Outside of work, Jennifer finds herself dancing and writing, and cherishes time with her husband and their two dogs, a French mix named Delphi and a Foxhound mix named Phineas. 

Kelsey Howard | Director of Client Relations

Kelsey Howard | Director of Client Relations

Kelsey Howard, a recent Michigan State graduate with a double major in Finance and Economics, brings her passion for numbers and her outgoing personality to Premier Financial. As Director of Client Relations, Kelsey works with the advisors to aid clients with service requests and provide immediate attention to questions and concerns. Kelsey's meticulous attention to detail and genuine connections with clients make her an invaluable asset to the team.

 

As part of the marketing team, Kelsey also takes the lead on extending Premier Financial’s online presence and coordinating events. 

 

When she's not working towards your financial goals, you might find her playing with her pups, or spending time with her twin sister. Looking to the future, Kelsey is excited for the expansion of Premier and continues to pursue her aspirations of becoming a financial advisor.

The process begins with an initial Discovery meeting where the team gets to know the client, their goals, and objectives.

Design

This is followed by a Design meeting where a tailored plan is created, considering factors such as Social Security optimization, risk tolerance, and asset positioning.

Deploy

During the initial year, we engage in frequent communication, providing a dozen to two dozen touchpoints, including phone calls and meetings, to guide clients through the onboarding process. The confirmation meeting, held after assets have been transferred, ensures clients fully understand the plan, account designations, and beneficiaries. This attention to detail is not a common practice in the industry, setting us apart.
